MICK MC EVOY, manager of the organic farm at the Buddhist Monastery Plum Village, France, will guide a meditation and give a talk about land-based regenerative projects in Plum Village. GUEST TEACHER MAY 22TH: MICK MC EVOY

Mick McEvoy was born in Ireland and is the  manager of the Happy Farm in Upper Hamlet, Plum Village and also manages the rewilding project here.

Plum Village, near Bordeaux in southwest France, is a Zen  Buddhist Monastery & Mindfulness Practice Centre. It is the first  monastic community founded by peace actvist and Zen Master Thich Nhat  Hanh in the West. Here guests and retreatants can learn the art of  living in harmony with one another and with the Earth.

Mick has been managing the Happy Farm  in Plum Village since 2015.  The Happy Farm is an agroecology project  which incorporates  regenerative and organic practices. The farm is  located within the  mindfulness practice centre and community of Plum Village. The volunteer teams at the farm practice mindfulness in their  work as part of their vision of promoting  wellbeing for individual,  society and the earth.

At the Happy Farm , Mick has produced vegetables, berries and fruits for the community,  trained and educated thousands of guests in mindfulness and organic  farming and facilitated the experiment in bringing mindfulness into a  working envi
