Om evenemanget

Chris Johnstone is an author/trainer for resilience, wellbeing and  active hope. With a background in medicine and psychology, Chris's work  over the last thirty years has focused on exploring what helps us face  disturbing situations (whether in our own lives or the world) and  respond in ways that contribute to positive change.

Working closely with US author and spiritual activist Joanna Macy, he is co-author with her of "Active Hope" (now published in fourteen languages, including Swedish). A revised tenth anniversary edition of Active Hope comes out in July. He also wrote "Seven Ways to Build Resilience"his online resilience courses at CollegeOfWellbeing.com engaging students from more than sixty countries.

Chris has recently developed a free online course at http://activehope.training that has attracted thousands of participants. Those completing the  course found it significantly strengthened their motivation to act for  positive change, and their belief that they could make a difference,  leaving them feeling less overwhelmed by world problems and personally  nourished by the course.

Tonight's Theme: Active Hope in Difficult Times

It is easy to feel overwhelmed, disheartened or defeated when facing  world problems. This engaging session introduces an approach shown to  nourish and build our capacity and commitment to act for positive  change. Drawing on the transformative empowerment process developed by  Joanna Macy, and described in their book Active Hope, Chris Johnstone  introduces insights and practices that can enliven, energise and inspire  our passion to play our part in a larger story of change.

Welcome to this inspiring session with Chris Johnstone!
